About the 20th Anniversary
In 2026, Pensacola Young Professionals proudly celebrates 20 years of impact in the Pensacola community. What began as a vision to connect and support young professionals has grown into a dynamic organization dedicated to leadership development, community engagement, and meaningful connection. Throughout the summer, we are honoring the people, partnerships, and programs that have shaped PYP—while also looking ahead to the next chapter of growth and impact.
Our Story: Where It All Began
Founded in 2006, Pensacola Young Professionals was created to give young professionals a voice, a place in the community, and a network to grow both personally and professionally. Over the past two decades, PYP has evolved into a cornerstone organization in Pensacola—bringing together individuals from diverse industries and backgrounds to build relationships, develop leadership skills, and create positive change. From its early days to now, PYP has remained committed to its mission: to develop, retain, and connect young professionals to the community and each other.
20th Anniversary Initiatives
From March 31 through September 17, 2026, Pensacola Young Professionals will celebrate 20 years of impact, connection, and leadership through a series of intentional initiatives designed to honorour past and strengthen our future. Led by the PYP 20th Anniversary Committee, this campaign focuses on four key areas:
Storytelling, Marketing and Communications
We are bringing the story of PYP to life by highlighting the people, moments, and milestones that have shaped the organization over the past 20 years.
Through member stories, alumni reflections, and a curated “20 Years of Impact” timeline, we will showcase the growth of Pensacola Young Professionals and the lasting impact it has had on individuals and the community. Follow along through blog features, social media spotlights, and anniversary communications as we celebrate each chapter of our journey.
Alumni and Community Engagement
Our anniversary is an opportunity to reconnect with the leaders and members who helped build PYP while strengthening relationships that will carry us forward.
We are engaging past presidents, board members, alumni, and community partners to celebrate their contributions and invite them to be part of this milestone. Through intentional outreach and engagement opportunities, we are building a stronger, more connected PYP network for the future.
Fundraising and Sponsorships
As we celebrate 20 years, we are also investing in what comes next.
This initiative focuses on building a strong financial foundation to support the continued growth and impact of Pensacola Young Professionals. Through anniversary sponsorships, donor engagement, and a targeted fundraising goal, we are creating opportunities for individuals and organizations to contribute to the next generation of leadership in our community.

The celebration will culminate on September 17, 2026 at Blue Wahoos Stadium, where members, alumni, and community leaders will gather for an unforgettable evening honoring 20 years of Pensacola Young Professionals.

As part of its 20th Anniversary Celebration, Pensacola Young Professionals is proud to establish the PYP Hall of Fame—a lasting tribute to the individuals, organizations, and programs that have helped shape our legacy over the past two decades.
For 20 years, PYP has connected professionals, developed leaders, and strengthened our community. Behind every successful organization are the people, partnerships, and initiatives that make a lasting difference. The PYP Hall of Fame recognizes those whose leadership, service, innovation, and support have had an extraordinary impact on PYP and the Pensacola community.
The inaugural Hall of Fame Class of 2026 will be inducted during Legacy & Leadership: Celebrating PYP's 20th Anniversary on September 17, 2026!
About the Hall of Fame
The PYP Hall of Fame was established to preserve and celebrate the history of PYP while recognizing those who have made significant contributions to the organization's success.
Inductees may include:
- Founders and past leaders
- Board members and volunteers
- Community partners and sponsors
- Mentors and advocates
- Signature PYP programs and initiatives
- Organizations that have played a pivotal role in advancing PYP's mission
The Hall of Fame serves as a permanent recognition of excellence, impact, and service while inspiring future generations of leaders.
Hall of Fame Categories
Nominees may be considered in one of the following categories:
Individual Leadership
Individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, or commitment to PYP and the Pensacola ommunity.
Community Partner
Businesses, nonprofits, government entities, educational institutions, and other organizations that have made significant contributions to PYP's growth and success.
Program & Initiative
Programs, events, and initiatives that have created a lasting impact on PYP members and the community.
Selection Criteria
Nominees should demonstrate one or more of the following:
Leadership
Provided visionary leadership that strengthened PYP and advanced its mission.
Service
Made significant contributions through volunteerism, board service, mentorship, or advocacy.
Impact
Created meaningful and lasting impact on PYP members, the organization, or the community.
Innovation
Developed programs, partnerships, or initiatives that advanced PYP's growth and effectiveness.
Legacy
Made contributions whose influence continues to benefit PYP and its members today.
Submit a Nomination
Do you know an individual, organization, or program that has helped shape the story of PYP?
We invite members, alumni, community partners, and supporters to submit nominations for the inaugural PYP Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
All nominations will be reviewed by a Hall of Fame Selection Committee, which will recommend inductees based on the established criteria and the nominee's overall impact on PYP.
Nominations are open through August 17, 2026.
