Professional Development
We provide avenues by which young professionals can achieve personal and professional growth.

Professional & Personal Development

Pensacola Young Professional’s Professional Development team hosts and curates growth opportunities for our members year round. You’ll find speakers and seminars on topics from resume writing to buying a house. Consider this your personal growth track of PYP.

You may also find partnerships with organizations within our community who put on amazing PD events of their own like Studer Community Institute or the Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce. In some cases there are free or discounted tickets for PYP members or free participation alongside a volunteer opportunity. Either way, we’re sure we can find you just what you need to further yourself as a YP in our community.

{PYP was a transformative force in my life as I navigated my uncertain post-college 20s. The founding members of PYP were mentors to me, recognizing my potential and entrusting me with meaningful projects like the Internship Pensacola program. By my early 30s, I’d learned more about leadership through PYP than any other avenue of my life, and had the privilege of helping mentor a new generation of members. My time on the PYP board, and my year as president, taught me how to work with and appreciate different types of people, and how to motivate and inspire myself and others. The value of the things I learned and the relationships I forged during my time in PYP simply cannot be calculated.
