The Florida Department of Health seeks a part-time attorney for its Pensacola law office, which serves the seven westernmost county health departments of the Florida Panhandle. The newly established position will assist the region’s Chief Legal Counsel in addressing environmental health, disease control, regulatory enforcement, patient care and rights, employee relations, contracts and community partnerships, agency policy and programs, and other issues typically handled by a public health lawyer or in-house counsel.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated interest in public health, public service, and dispute resolution, and an ability to work both independently and as a confident contributor to a legal team. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge, experience, aptitude, integrity, and poise to the table. This position will provide an opportunity to learn and grow in the interesting and important fields of healthcare and public health law.

Compensation: Negotiable (hourly, no state benefits)
