Congratulations to our November All-Star, Meg! We love her passion for the Pensacola area and can’t wait to see what else she does for our community!
Employment: Project Manager @ Pen Air Federal Credit Union
Tenure in PYP: I’ve been a member since 2012 and held a few leadership positions, including president during the 2017 – 2018 year. I currently co-host the More Than A Young Professional Podcast.
Other organizations she’s involved in: Valerie’s House Pensacola, League of Southeast Credit Unions Young Professional Group, Member of 2020 Leadership Pensacola Class.
Favorite thing about Pensacola: I grew up in a tiny town in Southwest, KS and Pensacola has that small town feel that I love. At the same time, Pensacola offers several opportunities to get involved and grow professionally. During the past several years, I’ve seen such a revitalization of our downtown and the city as whole. It’s been exciting to watch and to be a part of such a vibrant community.
Favorite thing about PYP: PYP truly is a catalyst for postive change in our community. It offers opportunities for young professionals to get involved in areas they are passionate about, and opens up avenues for networking and mentoring that may not be available to them elsewhere. PYP allowed me space to develop skills that led to me changing careers. I also found some of my best friends through PYP and discovered my place in Pensacola.
How can YPs be catalysts for positive change? Show up and do the work. Follow your passions. You can make a difference and it’s important to be involved and have a seat at the table.
