Today we are spotlighting another PYP board member, Rebekah Bydlak, our VP of Economic Development & Governmental Affairs!
Rebekah grew up in North Escambia County and is a graduate of Pensacola State College and the University of West Florida, where she earned her master’s degree in public administration and political science. She is executive director of the Institute for Spending Reform, which tracks government spending with its flagship project,SpendingTracker.org. In addition to PYP, she serves on the board of directors for the Northwest Florida Area Agency on Aging, Inc. and on the policy committee for the Greater Pensacola Chamber. She is a member of the 2019 Leadership Class for The Institute for Women in Politics of Northwest Florida, Inc.
Fun fact: Rebekah is a 9th-generation Escambia County native, and the first-ever meeting of the Florida legislature was held in home of her fifth-great-grandfather.
