Congratulations to our July All Star, Thomas! We love his passion for the Pensacola area and can’t wait to see what else he does for our community!
Employment: Branch Rental Manager for Enterprise Rent A Car but laid off due to Covid
Tenure in PYP: Joined in April 2020, just before Quarantine (great timing!)
Other organizations he’s involved in: Involved with Hillcrest Baptist and looking to be involved in prison ministry once quarantine ends
Favorite thing about Pensacola: You can fit right in most anywhere and I love that it has a small town feel no matter who you meet.
Favorite thing about PYP: I love the passion that PYP has for both the city and its young professionals, always seeking to have its members be involved with the community as well as giving the tools to further both personal and professional growth.
How can YPs be catalysts for positive change: True, positive change will always start with being relatable. For someone hurting in the community to see an organization made up of a diverse group of people who have all overcome their own, unique challenges that relate to theirs is encouraging. For not just change, but positive change, vulnerability and relatability are huge factors. As a YP, don’t be afraid to share your challenges. We all have them. It’s not just about sharing successes or being altruistic, but about telling the story of how we got there from where we were. Where you are is not who you are, and I think that’s one of the best messages anybody can hear. That they don’t have to feel stuck and that positive changes can happen no matter where they are in life.
