As Pensacola grows, so does the food scene. And if there is one thing that young professionals love as much as happy hour, it’s brunch! Brunch is the perfect marriage of breakfast and lunch, which is why it’s the perfect weekend activity. Getting together with friends? Brunch. Have family in town? Brunch. Business meeting? Brunch. The answer is always brunch!

Because Pensacola has been growing significantly, there are so many magnificent options for your weekend brunch. These are some of our favorites.

South Market

If you haven’t been to South Market yet, it’s a must! Anytime is a great time to visit South Market, but brunch is fabulous. They have bottomless mimosas, and when they say “bottomless” they mean it! The wait staff are always friendly and super quick on topping off a half-full glass. Choose from several juices as well to mix up your mimosa game: pineapple, cranberry, or your traditional orange. If mimosas aren’t your thing, they’ve got a great Bloody Mary deal for brunch, too!

The drink selection might be easy, but choosing only one dish from their incredible menu may be hard. A personal favorite of mine is the Crab Cake Benedict. If you’re not an adventurous eater, they have fantastic classics such as a Market Breakfast, Biscuits and Gravy, and waffles!

Ruby Slipper

Ever since Ruby Slipper opened in Pensacola in 2015, it’s been a brunch staple. If you’re the kind of person that loves options, this place is for you. They have an expansive menu with tons of mouth watering dishes, and enough cocktail options to confuse your tastebuds. There are breakfast classics, signature dishes, and everything in between. Something I also love about this place is their Dietary Preference Menu. They have options for all eaters, and as someone who eats gluten-free due to an allergy, this is much appreciated! Check out their Dietary Preference Menu here.

Their menu is fantastic, but so is their location! You can find the Ruby Slipper on Palafox street in the heart of Pensacola. The menu here is filled with New Orleans inspired dishes, which pairs well with the “mini-NOLA” feel of Pensacola. You don’t have to travel to New Orleans to experience the feel of the city! Take in all Pensacola has to offer and sit outside on their Ruby Slipper’s patio.

George Bistro + Bar

If you like your brunch a little more on the fancy side, George Bistro + Bar is a great option! Located on 9th Ave in Pensacola, they bear more than 1,500 Google reviews — and for good reason! George is a popular option for dinner, but their weekend brunch is just as palatable. Start brunch off right with one of their unique cocktails (all with fun names might I add): Son of a Peach, Watermelon Whimsy, Sage It Ain’t So, and more!

To eat, you have your work cut out for you! Their brunch menu contains classics such as omelettes, quiches, and french toast, but in true George fashion it also has more adventurous and sophisticated options such as smoked salmon poached eggs, savory bread pudding benedict, and even a grouper dish! George Bistro + Bar always delights, and it’s a brunch spot you can’t afford to miss.

Adonna’s Garden Street Cafe

Adonna’s Garden Street Cafe is a little lesser known, but to me it’s a hidden gem! This quaint little cafe on Garden Street serves breakfast all day, and though they have a smaller menu, they have something for everyone! You can make your visit quick and choose a pastry or two from their beautiful display case, or you can stay a while and sit at any of the tables inside or out to enjoy a meal with friends. Their breakfast plates boast classics, sandwiches, and sweets! My personal favorite is their veggie hash bowl which consists of home-fried potatoes, tomatoes, spinach, onion, cheddar cheese, and topped with two eggs and a delectable hollandaise.

Adonna’s also has great drinks, whether you’re looking for tea, coffee, or an alcoholic beverage! Their iced lavender green tea is refreshing and original. They offer all your favorite coffees, too, but the mimosas is where it’s at! They offer a full range of 15 different flavors, and when you order bottomless mimosas you can switch your flavor every time! This traditional southern bakery definitely needs to be on your brunch list!
