May PYP All-Star

Please join PYP as we congratulate Zack Suggs for being voted as the Pensacola Young Professionals’ May All-Star of the month! Each month our Board of Directors nominate individuals and vote on who is showing incredible dedication and going the extra mile, whether that’s with their employer, the community, or within PYP itself. We are thrilled to highlight Zack as he’s moving and grooving!

Employment: Development Manager, Alzheimer’s Association – Central & North Florida Chapter

Tenure in PYP: I started attending PYP events in early February of this year and instantly connected with several of the members. I kept coming back and officially became a dues paid member in May.

Other orgs involved in: Circle K International (Kiwanis), Northwest Florida Association of Healthcare Professionals, Council on Aging/Meals on Wheels, & Santa Rosa County Healthcare Advocates.

Favorite thing about Pensacola: The Blue Angels, of course! (Downtown Pensacola is a close second – I enjoy living somewhere with such a vibrant and active downtown).

Favorite thing about PYP: The opportunity to meet other young professionals who want to better Pensacola as much as I do.

What do you feel YPs can do to be a catalyst for positive change in our community? GET INVOLVED! Find something you are passionate about in the community and stick with it. Change only starts when someone gets involved! (For those of you who may also work at a nonprofit, the best advice I’ve ever heard was to know that working for a nonprofit isn’t your gift to the world – it is your job. Your gift to the world and way you give back should be on your own time!)
