The Membership Team is focused on both attracting new members and retaining and nurturing existing ones. The team helps organize and host PYP’s Annual Dinner and its other Quarterly Meetings that help bring together the entire membership and provide a great first experience for new or prospective PYP members.

The mission of the Membership Team is to increase awareness of our organization in the community, to educate members on how to get meaningfully involved in PYP, and to welcome new members to the group. PYP is dedicated to helping its members grow as leaders, network with other professionals, learn more about our area, and give back to our community. The Membership Team is crucial to helping many of our PYP members take their first steps towards achieving these goals.

The mission of the Networking Team is to help PYP members meet and mingle with each other and to encourage their professional and social development. Bring your ideas and get involved with our team!

The Networking Team spearheads several efforts during the year. The team organizes PYP’s Networking Nights, which are monthly networking socials hosted at various locations around Pensacola. Networking Nights are held on the fourth Thursday of every month. The Networking Team also partners with other local organizations to hold special joint functions for members of both groups. This has included co-sponsoring events with the Pensacola Opera, Pensacola Museum of Art, Propeller Club, LeaP Alumni, various local Rotary Clubs, and Santa Rosa Young Professionals.

The Networking Team also helps organize PYP’s annual dinner every April. This all-member meeting recognizes the previous year’s board of directors and welcomes the incoming board members; the meeting also celebrates PYP’s numerous achievements from the past year. Each annual dinner features a prominent guest speaker who offers encouraging words for the members and guests, speaking on current topics in the Pensacola Bay Area. Previous guest speakers have included Joe Scarborough (host of “Morning Joe” and former State Representative) and Malcolm Thomas (Escambia County Schools Superintendent).
