PYP is an all volunteer led organization. Many of our leaders dedicate hours each week to ensure that our organization runs smoothly and effectively. Read below to learn about one of our outstanding leaders, Jessica Andrade!
Tell us a little about yourself:
I grew up in Pensacola, attended University of Florida for undergrad and law school, and am now an attorney at Beggs & Lane. I enjoy being back in Pensacola and taking advantage of all that the area has to offer. I love Palafox and eating and shopping downtown. I am a history buff so it’s so wonderful that we have such a rich history right in our backyard. I love giving back to the community in my spare time, but my favorite thing to do is put my earbuds in and put a podcast on. I even have a fanny pack so I can listen hands free while I walk around the house! If you need podcasts suggestions, I’m a walking library so ask me!
How long have you been a member of PYP?
I’ve been in PYP since 2014. I’ve served as co-treasurer for 2 years and now as treasurer (this is my second year as treasurer).
What motivates you to volunteer with PYP?
I always say that PYP is the gateway to young folks’ involvement in Pensacola. I learned so much about the opportunities available to me in Pensacola because I joined PYP in 2014. I most appreciate the networking and meeting other savvy young professionals.
What other organizations do you volunteer for?
I’m a founder and the Vice President of Purchasing for onbikes Pensacola, a member of Junior League of Pensacola and co-chair of the Personnel Committee, past President and Treasurer of Northwest Florida Association of Women Lawyers, Pensacola Little Theatre Board of Trustees member, Leap Class of 2019 member, BIG Gala committee member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, onbikes, past co-chair (along with my husband, Alex, also an attorney in town and our next State Representative for House District 2!) of the Escambia Santa Rosa Bar Law Week, University of West Florida adjunct professor, and Gatsby Girls.
